Quality Innovation Award 2025 International winners are announced
The 19th Quality Innovation Award has successfully concluded, celebrating outstanding innovations from across the globe. This year, a remarkable total of 565 innovations from 6 countries participated in the competition, with the top 24 being recognized with prestigious Awards or Prizes. The host for the traditional Award Ceremony has not been confirmed yet. We will confirm it soon and share the update with everyone.
As in previous years, the winners of each category underwent a rigorous evaluation process based on a strict methodology. Key criteria included novelty value, usability, learning, customer orientation and effectiveness. The winners were selected through a meticulous voting process conducted by the participating national Quality Associations.
After identifying the 8 category winners, the international jury selected the annual Innovation of Innovations from among these top innovations. This year, the Innovation of Innovations prize goes to DMIND–Thailand’s Clinically Trained National AI Platform for Depression Detection and Digital Mental-Health Care, developed by Faculty of Medicine and Center of Excellence in Digital and AI for Mental Health, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, from Thailand.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners for their extraordinary achievements!

Data-Driven Integration of “Diagnosis-Improvement + Supervision + Certification” Practice in Classroom Teaching Quality Evaluation
Classrooms are central to talent development and a key focus of education evaluation reform. Reforming classroom teaching evaluation helps improve teaching quality and efficiency, support students’ all-round growth, and promote teachers’ professional development. It is also an important driver of long-term quality governance in higher vocational colleges. To advance this reform, the school uses digital technology to innovate the classroom teaching evaluation indicator system. It extends the diagnostic-and-improvement mechanism into daily classroom teaching, adopts a combined quantitative and qualitative evaluation approach, and integrates “diagnostic improvement, supervision, and certification” into a classroom certification evaluation system. An integrated teaching evaluation management platform has also been built to enable data-driven classroom evaluation.

Innovative Applications of AI and Machine Learning in Electronic Assembly Material Development
Materials development often relies on expert experience, which can’t keep up with fast product iterations. This project partnered with suppliers and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to pilot AI/ML-assisted formulation development for thermally adhesive electronic materials. By building an experimental-data-driven material database and using ML recommendation plus Bayesian-optimized experiment design, the project reduced R&D effort by 40% and improved powder formulation cost benefits by 33.5%. Huawei also deployed the AI-enabled digital R&D solution to 60+ material suppliers, published related research, and co-drafted an industry group standard—helping shift electronic materials R&D from experience-based to prediction-driven.
