Quality Innovation Award 2023 - AI application for identifying and helping to prevent insect damage in forests and Research and Application on a Forefront New-Type Crystallization Technology for Cefotaxime Sodium are the winners of the 2023 Award

 

The Innovation of Innovations prize was awarded to AI application for identifying and helping to prevent insect damage in forests of Metsä Group and CollectiveCrunch from Finland and Research and Application on a Forefront New-Type Crystallization Technology for Cefotaxime Sodium of NCPC Hebei Huamin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. from China. Upon meticulous evaluation, it has been determined that the two outstanding innovations have received identical scores in the voting process. Consequently, this year we have the pleasure of awarding the Innovation of Innovations prize to two distinguished recipients.

 

Quality Innovation Award was organized for the 17th time. A total of 562 innovations from 8 countries/regions participated in the competition this year and the best 24 were recognized with Awards or Prizes. The traditional Award Ceremony will be hosted by China Association for Quality from April 10th to 12th, 2024, in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China.

 

As always, the winners of the Award in each category passed a strict methodology of evaluation based on their novelty value, usability, learning, customer orientation and effectiveness. The winners were chosen by the participating national Quality Associations via a rigorous voting process.

The team has developed “Coordination Dissolution Technology", "Ultra-low Temperature Spherical Aggregation Crystallization Technology" and "Solvent Displacement Technology During Drying Process", established a new-type crystallization process for cefotaxime sodium, solved the industrial challenges of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) product: poor flowability due to small granularity, approaching limits of the residue of acetic acid and the impurity of lipid dimer.
